My 5-step frame process
Following a structured process is key to a smooth and effective collaboration. Through years of testing, I devised a unique framework to break down the phases of any brand or design project that allows me to follow a logical sequence of tasks. The five phases are Focus, Research, Alignment, Materials and Expression and together they cover all projects from discovery call to final delivery of all files.
Each project is unique and will include different types of tasks and deliverables in the 5 phases, but, by following this structure, we will build on the work done in each phase to develop what comes next, progressing through the process in a streamlined way and optimising both our time and resources.
Creating consistency
Working with freelancers can sometimes come with the risk of inconsistent behaviour. Following the FRAME process creates a reliable framework where each phase is relevant and clearly connected to the overall process.
Centring communication
Mistakes or delays can often be avoided with transparent communication. Within each of the five phases there is clear communication of the work that needs to be done as well as the input needed from you.
Establishing expectations
Unclear language or confusing terminology can lead to uncertain expectations. The FRAME process clearly defines all expectations of time, investment and deliverables at the start of the process.
